Doug Bond: About section
Submariner, business owner, patriot
Doug has been involved in the building industry for over 30 years. After attending Ashland College for two years, he joined the United States Navy and served for 5 years. Many of those years were served aboard USS Alexander Hamilton (SSBN 617), a ballistic missile submarine. Upon leaving the Navy Doug moved to Columbus to attend the Ohio State University.
After working for several construction & building supply companies, Doug formed his own general contractor business, Buckeye Contractors, in January of 2001. Buckeye Contractors was a design-build company that constructed everything from windows and siding to room additions, kitchens, and bathrooms. In May of 2015, the business name was changed to Columbus Windows and Siding to better serve and manage our core products of windows, siding, and roofing. The company has a General Contractors license and a HIC License which allows them to work on and pull permits for any type of building remodel.
Doug lives in Columbus with his loving wife of 30 years and has a son and two beautiful grandchildren. Doug loves to fish and golf when he is not working.
